The cylinder illustrated here is the "new" style. The "older" style is somewhat different in that the port on the gland end was not a weld-on type. The adapter actually screwed through the tube and into the gland. It was used on the "Dakota Dozer," and in some cases, may be identified by the name on it or the dozer.
