Some 1970-71 tractors used a different range shift than illustrated here. It can be easily identified in that the housing, item 8, is more cone-shaped with only 1 set of detent parts, cap, spring, etc. and the detent shaft has a swivel eye bolt at the outer end. These parts are identified by the suffix "A" below the comparable part. In cases where extensive repair is needed, it is recommended that the complete later style be ordered as it does perform much better.
