Early Series I tractors, prior to BC S/N 2413 & WC, SWC S/N 8352, had the filter assy. on the RH side as shown directly above & used a different filter assy. & element. This was a 18-043 assy. using a 28-007 element. This element can be identified by its grey color as opposed to either white or black for the 18-502. However, due to its cost, many tractors have been converted to the 18-501 assy. used on the later tractors (cost for 18-501 assy. is about same as 28-007 element).
