The cylinder illustrated here is the "new" style. The "older" style is somewhat different in that the port on the gland end was not a weld-on type. The adaptor actually screwed through the tube and into the gland. It was used on the "Dakota dozer, " and in some cases may be identified by that name on it or the Dozer.
