re 748210 sickle section. this part comes from production w/countersunk rivet. per hfi engr the sickle section vendor has a machine that can apply this rivet in prod. but for service, there probably is not a machine out in the field to do this, and normal field installation of the rivet laying loose in the countersunk hole when it is peened from the opposite side. For field repairs, engineer wants to use the oval head rivet and peen the rivet into the countersunk hole which will result in a secure file. p
